NEW DEPARTMENT CHIEF SWORN-IN
January 1, 2008
The Neptune Fire Department is proud to announce that James Clanton of Liberty Fire Company will be sworn in as the 2008 Chief of Department. The Assistant Chief for 2008 will be Robert McDonald of Unexcelled Fire Company. Congratulations and best wishes as these men as they lead the department into 2008. Also, special thanks to the 2007 Chief of Department Gerry Narciso of Hamilton Fire Company.

GENERAL ALARM FIRE ON ELEVENTH AVENUE IN FREEZING TEMPERATURES
February 19, 2007
The Neptune Fire Department responded to a reported structural fire on Eleventh Avenue during the late afternoon of Monday, February 19. Upon arrival of fire units, heavy fire was showing from the rear of the 2-1/2 story 2 family dwelling. All four Neptune fire companies operated on the scene for over four hours. One injury was reported, a member of Liberty Fire Company was transported to JSUMC. The fire is under investigation by the Neptune Fire Bureau. COMMISSIONER KYLE ELECTED TO 3-YEAR TERM
February 17, 2007
Congratulations to Fire Commissioner Robert Kyle who was was elected to a 3 year term on the Neptune Fire District 1 Board of Fire Commissioners. Commissioner Kyle oversee's the Department's Traning Division, as well as other responsibilities.

NEPTUNE RECEIVES FINAL TWO PIERCE ENGINES, PLACED INTO SERVICE
January 15, 2007
Chief Narciso reports that the Neptune Fire Department has received the balance of their order; two new 2006 Pierce Engines. The new 34-3-75 was turned over to Shark River Hills Fire Company. The new 34-4-75 was turned over to the Unexcelled Fire Company. The Neptune Fire Department now has a new 2006 Pierce Engine in each of its four fire stations. The new engine's have already responded to several fire and emergency incidents, without incident.

TWO NEW ENGINES IN SERVICE. TWO MORE ON ORDER
October 1, 2006
Chief Mitchell is please to announce that the two new Pierce engines, 34-1-75 and 34-2-75 are completed and in service protecting the residents of Neptune. Two more engines are currently being constructed by Pierce and are expected to be completed by December.
